I’m Associate Professor and Chair of Philosophy at Rhodes College. I work in applied ethics and the philosophy of race, sex, and gender.

My research addresses topics like transracialism (changing one's race), cultural appropriation, animal ethics, and the ethics of risky academic inquiry.

I received my PhD in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University and my BA (Hons) from McGill University. Originally from Toronto, Ontario, I now live and teach in Memphis, TN.
